Affordable 400 Watt VAWT (Vertical Axis Wind Turbine) Starts at 6 MPH

On April 2-3, 2016 I went with Ashland Housing Development Corp. to the Ashville North Carolina Tiny House Conference (http://tinyhouseconference.com/home/) as a part of a tiny house project we're working on for our local community.

In this video, Tom of Off Grid Green (http://www.offgridgreen.com) tells us about their affordable 400 watt Vertical Axis Wind Turbine. It's also nice to hear some of the "old timers" telling stories about their first wind turbines, and how alternative energy has changed over the years.

Here are some of the details.

Aleko 400W Vertical Wind Generator 12V

- Max wind speed: 150 Feet per second (11.5 m/s).
- Beautiful appearance
