This video presents the Hydrogen Petroleum Reduction Technologies (PRT) module, which describes the health, environment, economic, and national security benefits of driving hydrogen vehicles. Hydrogen can be used as a fuel type via two different methods: it can be used as a gaseous fuel in an internal combustion engine (ICE), or it can generate electricity to power the vehicle via fuel cell stacks. This video presents an animation demonstrating how the most popular type of fuel cell operates. In addition, this video presents information on creating hydrogen (through electrolysis or steam methane reforming), storing hydrogen, and utilizing hydrogen in a vehicle.
