This video presents the Natural Gas Petroleum Reduction Technologies (PRT) module, which describes the health, environment, economic, and national security benefits of driving natural gas vehicles. Natural gas is an odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic fuel. As a vehicular fuel, it can exist in two forms: compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG). CNG and LNG can significantly reduce carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen, and hydrocarbon emissions.

In addition to emphasizing the benefits of using natural gas a fuel type, this module covers information on producing, storing, and utilizing natural gas. The module also covers information on each of the three types of natural gas vehicles: dedicated, bi-fuel, and dual-fuel.

This Natural Gas PRT module was brought to you by the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium. For more information, please visit us at: http://www.naftc.wvu.edu.
