This video presents the Propane Petroleum Reduction Technologies (PRT) module, which describes the health, environment, economic, and national security benefits of driving propane-powered vehicles. Propane is a byproduct of natural gas production and crude oil refining, and can be used in two types of vehicles: dedicated and bi-fuel. This module details how propane is produced, stored, and used in these two types of vehicles. In addition, the module covers how vehicles can be converted to run on liquefied propane gas (LPG), the resulting energy content by mass, and the environmental impact of using propane-powered vehicles.
