Climate change mitigation: World Bank in grant to Kenya of Ksh 25 billion

Kenya has received financial backing from the World Bank to the tune of 25 Billion Shillings to aid in long-term resilience of Kenya's Agricultural Sector. Farmers in arid and semi arid parts of the Country (ASALs) are expected to benefit from the loan. The funding will be targeted to crop research and development, irrigation, drainage, livestock, fisheries and aquaculture.
