Nothing Fancy. Just a raw, simple, single shot CD welder to allow me to build a few battery packs.

Bottom line: A 1 Farad capacitor will work for pack building but for hotter and more consistent welds, I want MORE POWER!!

Nippon Chemi-con 1 Farad 16 Volt capacitor
Chinese 100 Amp silicon Controlled rectifier
30"X2 8 gauge wire
6 gauge solid wire for electrodes
tactile/momentary switch scavenged from a wifi router
Charging:
15 Volt 1100 milli-amp DC converter
boost converter
Constant current, constant voltage buck converter
