Electric Cars: Should I Buy, Or Should I Wait?

Electric Cars: Should I Buy, Or Should I Wait?

The automotive industry is beginning to embrace an electric future. They've shifted research and development dollars by the billions to develop and market the dozens of electric vehicles (EVs) that are already on America's roads, or soon will be.
Is 2021 the year for you to buy an electric car? Should you wait? Or not consider one at all?
America's electric vehicle industry is still in its infancy. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, fewer than 2% of the light vehicles sold in the U.S. during 2019 were electric cars. The United States trails China and Europe by a wide margin when it comes to adopting EVs.
Still, the number of EV sales is steadily climbing, while more models arrive in the marketplace. The market has reached a point where the options span from compact cars to SUVs, with pickups set to arrive later this year.
