This is a demonstration of a nearly frictionless passive magnetic bearing system. My design is similar to the Mendocino motor's magnet system but differs in that each end of the spinning shaft is supported equally and nearly perfectly balanced between the TWO stainless steel plates by the four circular magnets underneath the shaft. This simple motor consists only of a coil, two magnets, and a hall sensor. Like all electric motors you are able to extract voltage from the back EMF and use it to lite an LED (or anything else).
