Fuel Cell Catalyst Coatings

Ultrasonic coating systems for fuel cell manufacturing are designed to spray uniform micron thick layers of carbon platinum inks onto PEMs, GDLs, SOFCs, or other electrolyte materials. Ultrasonic coating maximizes the active surface area of platinum particles with homogenous thin films, evenly dispersing particles in suspension with ultrasonic vibrations. Ultrasonic coatings are highly durable and pinhole-free. The soft atomized spray deposits nanosuspensions without deforming delicate membranes such as Nafion and Fumion.
