Description

Notice: this project requires previous mastery of carpentry skills.

I had some Bonded Logic Ultratouch Denim Insulation sitting in my garage, and rather than throw it out I decided to use it.

Where best to use it ? Where it is needed.

During the summer, the garage attic gets very hot and as there is little insulation between it and the room next to it, the room next to it gets hot also.
So, I designed a frame for the insulation.
I only had to use a power drill to drill some holes in the 12" strong ties so I could attach angle ties for the 7' studs where the furring strips meet. All the other construction was done with hand tools.

When you are building the frame on the ground, make sure that all the furring strips are level or at the same slope. Once you assemble the frame in the attic, raise it up on 2x4's and then slide it into position. After that secure it in place and check the ends for fit. Lastly, put in the insulation.

The music is Colosus from Unreal Tournament Game of the Year Edition. I do not own the rights to the music. I do own the game. I respect the person who wrote it : Michiel van den Bos.

This still runs on my windows 2000 laptop computer.

I would like to thank everyone who made this video and construction possible. Thank you for watching.
