The most recent addition to our off grid homestead is a solar powered oven (or a sun oven)! This particular model is a GoSun Stove (the GoSun Sport). The reason we wanted this on the homestead is because even though we live in a forested area, fuel is still in somewhat limited supply, or not always easily accessible. We are currently cooking with propane and have a wood stove we can cook on during the cold snaps, but the sun is an unlimited resource that's completely free. We thought it would be fun to integrate solar cooking into our lifestyle.
