Joule thief with only NPN transistor and one to one transformer (coil) Run 3V LED with one AA battery. No resistor needed and after start, one lead from transformer can be disconnected with continued oscillation. NOTE: As opposed to other diagrams you will find on the internet, this circuit actually has the LED connected between the BASE and the COLLECTOR. Specific transistor used here is KSP2222A. Hypothesized similar to Leedskalnin device. After one day of running this, the LED will start visibly blinking as expected.
