Powering wireless temperature sensors with a motion energy harvester

This video shows a motion energy harvesting - demonstration set up:

In this demonstration, a motion energy harvester is used to provide electricity to power a wireless temperature sensor which continuously transmits temperature data to an ipad which displays the real-time data being transmitted to it.

This set up also uses a shaker ( -- big grey cylinder on left) to create motion that the harvester(-- small black cylinder mounted on the grey cylinder) can harvest. In the real world harvesters can harvest similar motion from industrial vibrations, vibrations in vehicles and even human motion.
