(running off compressed air because boiler still being built.) This was a small steam engine project that myself and friend Kyle found on Instructables.com (http://www.instructables.com/id/Hardware-Store-Steam-Engine-full-instructions/) and set about building. Total cost was about $30 dollars, and some machining was involved in making the piston. Mostly grinding and file work. With leftover parts and equipment, we could make a second for around $8 because of the leftover materials. This is a great weekend project, and is fairly straightforward, but does require some guesswork due to the instructable not covering everything. All in all, definitely worth it, and a lot of fun.
