Tesla Turbine

Tesla "bladeless" turbine, made with hard drive platters, PVC, and plexiglass. A good demonstration of the boundary layer effect - in this case, rather than the fluid (air) directly driving the blades, the drag due to the increased viscosity at the surface of the platters drives the 'blades' of the turbine. The 'exhaust' air passes through the ports on the opposite side.
